Become an icouldbe.org School

In 2000, the ratio of guidance counselors to students in the US was 1:500. Today, that national average is 1:750 and in many low-income school districts it is as high as 1:5,000. Since 2000, icouldbe.org has connected over 10,000 students across the country with caring and professional mentors, helping to guide youth towards the futures they want.

Like you, our mission is to give our students the tools to plan for a successful future. Having a professional adult available to listen and advise them can make all the difference in helping young people break the cycle of poverty and realize their goals.

College preparation programs like icouldbe.org can more than double the college attendance rates of at-risk youth. New evidence shows that e-mentoring has many of the same benefits as face-to-face mentoring, helping students set educational goals and explore career options.
