Embracing New Technologies

A technology advisory team with experts from E*Trade Financial, Microsoft, TPG-Axon and Pixar Animation Studios are working to re-imagine icouldbe.org’s e-mentoring platforms.

We’ve also upgraded our system to a new Virtual Learning Environment that will tailor Web 2.0 functionalities and social networking capabilities to improve the icouldbe.org platform and mentor-mentee interactions.

Career-themed online classrooms will include more real-world engagement and practical activities, where mentors can upload up-to-date career and educational information and add relevant web links to modules in their areas of expertise. As a result, mentors’ professional experiences can impact a wider community of mentees and make each classroom a unique learning experience.
